Purpose

In January of 2015 I started getting some symptoms that would later lead to the diagnosis of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).   I was officially diagnosed in late February – which was initially overwhelming.   However through a series of previous and recent experiences, I am largely at peace with the diagnosis.  My main purpose in writing this blog is to challenge myself to see the positive in my situation and perhaps inspire others to do the same in their situations – whether their circumstance is life threatening or just life “lifing”.

I want to focus on what I have, not what I’ve lost.

That is not to say there are not and will not be moments of despair and hopelessness.  I will blog about that as well.
